Equipment capacity must follow a reviewed load method using design conditions and the actual enclosure. Oversizing can reduce comfort and moisture control as well as efficiency.
Worked planning example
Two 1,800 sq ft homes can have different loads because one has shaded high-performance glazing and a tight insulated enclosure while the other has extensive west glass and leakage. The same area multiplier would erase those differences, so the editor records the inputs needed for a professional calculation instead of producing a capacity.
